LUMICAM

Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 14, 2026. This policy covers the Android app “Lumicam: Vintage CCD Digicam” (package com.theyourlist.lumicam), published by TheYourList (“we”, “us”). Contact: ryantruong.2512@gmail.com.

1. Your photos and videos stay on your phone

Everything Lumicam does to a picture — the camera looks, grain, light leaks, date stamps, camcorder displays and video developing — runs on your device. We never receive, upload, store or share your photos, videos or the photos and videos you import, and we operate no servers that process them.

Where it is stored: each developed photo or video is saved to your gallery (Pictures/Lumicam or Movies/Lumicam) and a copy is kept in the app’s private storage for the Film Roll until you delete it in the app or uninstall the app. Photos and videos you import are read through the Android photo picker, which only gives Lumicam the items you choose; the originals are not changed. Cloud backup of the app’s private storage is disabled.

2. Permissions

Lumicam does not request access to your whole photo library and does not use your location.

3. Analytics and crash reports (Google Firebase)

With your consent where required, we use Google Analytics for Firebase and Firebase Crashlytics to understand how the app is used and to fix crashes. We log anonymous events such as “photo captured (camera LX-30)”, “video recorded (15–60 s)”, “photo imported”, “paywall viewed” or “purchase completed”, plus device model, OS and app version, approximate region and an app-instance identifier. Crash reports contain the error type and stack trace only. We never log pictures, file names, dates or places; the app enforces this with an allow-list of event parameters. Firebase Remote Config is used to tune paywall and ad settings.

4. Advertising (Google AdMob and Unity Ads)

The free version shows ads: a slim banner under the Film Roll, an occasional full-screen ad after you export from the Darkroom or after a few saved shots when you leave the viewfinder, and optional rewarded ads you choose to watch to borrow a Pro camera for a few shots. Ads never cover the viewfinder while you frame or record, and never appear during onboarding or on the paywall. Lumicam Pro removes all ads.

Ads are served by Google AdMob, with Unity Ads competing through AdMob mediation and serving the banner directly. These partners may collect the advertising ID, device and usage information to serve and measure ads. See Google’s and Unity’s privacy policies.

5. Your choices (GDPR, UK GDPR, Swiss FADP, US state laws)

In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, Lumicam asks for your consent through Google’s consent message (IAB TCF) before personalised ads or analytics are used. If you decline, ads are non-personalised and analytics stays off. In US states with privacy laws (such as California, Virginia, Colorado), you can opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information and targeted advertising. You can change your choice at any time in Settings → Privacy choices.

Legal bases (GDPR): consent for analytics and personalised ads; performance of a contract for purchases; legitimate interest for crash diagnostics where consent is not required. You may request access, deletion, correction or portability of data we control, object to processing, or lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority. California residents: we do not sell personal information for money; ad partners may receive identifiers as described above, which you can opt out of in Privacy choices. We do not discriminate against users who exercise their rights.

6. Purchases

Subscriptions and the lifetime purchase are processed by Google Play. We never receive your payment details; Google tells the app whether Pro is active.

7. Retention and deletion

Photos and videos remain on your device until you delete them. Analytics data is retained by Google for up to 14 months. See how to delete your data.

8. Children

Lumicam is not directed to children under 13 (under 16 in the EEA) and we do not knowingly collect their data.

9. Changes

We will update this page if our practices change and revise the date above.
